Information on how Remote Learning works at Peartree.
Whole School Closure
If the school has to close unexpectedly, we will provide remote learning so that children can continue their learning from home.
Google Classroom
At Peartree, we use Google Classroom for our remote learning offer. This safe and easy to use platform allows pupils to access their learning, resources and instructions from their teachers from any device at home. Individual login details are provided to all students, and children also use Google Classroom at school, meaning that they are familiar with the platform.
We understand that not all families can access online learning easily. Where needed, we will support families by providing paper-based learning packs to be completed at home.
We are also mindful of the impact of increased screen time on children. For this reasons, remote learning will include a combination of online activities and practical, offline tasks. We aim to provide a flexible and engaging learning experience that supports children to continue learning if remote education if required.
